Goaltender Jamie Phillips has been re-assigned to the Jacksonville Icemen after being recalled by the Manitoba Moose, the club announced Thursday.
Phillips, 24, has appeared in one game with the Moose this season, making 32 saves in a winning effort. In 12 games with Jacksonville, the Caledonia, Ont. native has a 2-9-0 record with a 3.38 GAA and 0.895 SV%. Phillips is also the first-ever goalie in Icemen history to post a shutout.
Phillips was a seventh round selection, 190th overall, of the Winnipeg Jets in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
Additionally, the Icemen have acquired defenseman Travis Jeke from the Fayetteville Marksmen (SPHL). The 24-year-old made his debut with the Icemen on Wednesday in a 6-5 win over the Manchester Monarchs. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jeke has played in 17 career ECHL games. Prior to the ECHL, Jeke spent four seasons at Boston College where he played in 69 games and collected 12 points.
