The Jacksonville Icemen, in conjunction with its AHL affiliate, Manitoba Moose, announced today that the Winnipeg Jets have reassigned goalie Jamie Phillips to the Icemen.
Phillips appeared in one game this season for the Manitoba Moose, making 32 saves and only allowing one goal in a winning effort. During a brief stint with the Icemen earlier in the season, Phillips was on the ice for 12 games, posting a 2-9-1 record and .895 SV%. The Caledonia, Ontario native became the first goalie in Icemen history to record a shutout, when the Icemen defeated the Brampton Beast, 5-0, on Nov. 8, 2017.
The 2017-18 season, presented by Community First Credit Union, rolls on as the Icemen return to Jacksonville for a three-game homestand, starting on Wednesday, Jan. 3rd at 7:30 p.m. against the Atlanta Gladiators. Fans can get their tickets here.
