Icemen Battle Swamp Rabbits in Greenville

Tonight, the Jacksonville Icemen (15-26-3-3, 36 pts) take on the Greenville Swamp Rabbits (20-23-3-1, 44 pts) from the Bon Secours Wellness Arena at 7:00 p.m.

This is the fourth meeting between the two clubs in the past two weeks, as Jacksonville defeated Greenville in two out of three games at the end of January. The last time the Icemen traveled to Greenville, Austin Lotz stopped 36 shots and shutout the Swamp Rabbits, 3-0.

Greenville is still struggling to find the success they enjoyed earlier in the season. The Swamp Rabbits have lost 11 of their last 14 games are now two points out of the final playoff spot in the South Division. Tonight's game is very important for both teams' playoff chances as the Icemen sit 10 points out and the Swamp Rabbits can tie the Solar Bears for fourth with a win.

Jacksonville has struggled to score in their past seven games. The Icemen have scored more than two goals one time during that stretch, despite a 3-3-0-1 record. Tonight would be the perfect time to turn the power play around as Greenville has the worst penalty kill in the entire ECHL. However, Jacksonville hasn't scored a goal on the man advantage since Jan. 27 against the Swamp Rabbits.

Win or lose, it could be a special night for Chris Joseph. If the defenseman plays, he will be celebrating reaching the century mark in his pro career with his 100th game played.

Catch all the action live from Greenville tonight on ECHL TV as the puck drops at 7:00 p.m.
