The Jacksonville Icemen, proud affiliate of the NHL Winnipeg Jets and AHL Manitoba Moose, today announced that the Cleveland Monsters (AHL) have loaned Jacksonville Nikita Korostelev and Dan DeSalvo.Korostelev, 21, has played two games with the Monsters this season in his rookie campaign. Last season, the 6-foot-1, 210-pound forward got 2 points (1G, 1A) in 10 games with the Laval Rocket (AHL) following the culmination of a wildly successful juniors season in the OHL with the Peterborough Petes where he notched 75 points (30G, 45A) in 64 games. The Moskva, Russia product was drafted in round 7 #185 overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2015 NHL Draft.DeSalvo, 26, is entering his fourth professional season, having split time between the AHL and ECHL. The 5-foot-8, 172-pound forward spent the majority of last season with the Hartford Wolfpack (AHL) where he notched 16 points (5G, 11A) in 44 games. He also spent time with the Tulsa Oilers where he collected 8 points (4G, 4A) in 10 games. Prior to turning pro, the Rolling Meadows, IL native played NCAA hockey with Bowling Green State where he recorded 102 points (29G, 73A) in 153 games. In his first year pro, he was named to the 2015-16 ECHL All-Rookie Team.The Icemen are on the road tomorrow for a 10:30 a.m. game in Orlando. Jacksonville returns home for it's own 10:30 a.m. contest on Thursday against South Carolina where 9,000 kids will cheer on the Icemen in their annual School Day Game.
