About Today’s Game: This evening’s ECHL South Division match-up features the Jacksonville Icemen and the Norfolk Admirals. The Icemen (70 pts) will be in search of their fourth straight road victory tonight, while also trying to pull closer to the second place Orlando Solar Bears (73 pts). The Icemen currently sit in third place, but are just a mere three points behind Orlando.  Meanwhile the Admirals are ten points out of playoff spot and will need to string together some wins in their final nine games of the season to remain in the hunt. The two teams will meet again this Friday and Saturday.

Series History:  Tonight’s contest marks the ninth of 11 meetings between the two teams this season.  Jacksonville leads the season series 5-3-0-0, while and leads the All-Time series 10-2-1-0.

About the Icemen: The Jacksonville penalty kill remains the stingiest unit in the league, having killed off 56 consecutive opponent power plays. The Icemen have not allowed a power play goal against since February 9 (14 games) and remain first in the league on the penalty kill at 88.1-percent…Forward Wacey Rabbit leads the Icemen against the Admirals with five goals and 14 points. 

About the Admirals:  Goaltender Ty Reichenbach has carried the workload in goal making 44 appearances this season.  Reichenbach leads the ECHL with 1,373 saves…. Forward Ben Duffy leads the Admirals against the Icemen with eight points (6g, 2a).  Duffy also leads the Admirals in points (53), goals (19) and assists (34).
