JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Jacksonville Icemen, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets and AHL’s Manitoba Moose announced Wednesday that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Hayden Shaw.
Shaw, 25, joins the Icemen after recently concluding his senior season at the University of North Dakota (NCHC). The 5-10, 191-pound blueliner posted ten points (3g, 7a) in 37 games played with the Fighting Hawks this season. Shaw totaled 37 points (10g, 27a) during his four-year collegiate career at North Dakota, winning an NCAA National Championship in 2016. The Woodbury, Minnesota native also recorded 71 points (14g, 57a) in 99 career USHL appearances split between the Waterloo Black Hawks and Dubuque Fighting Saints.
The Icemen are back in action tonight (March 20) at Norfolk. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. Fans can now follow the team on the road on the Icemen Broadcast Network for free on Mixlr by CLICKING HERE and on ECHL.TV on a subscription basis.
