Orlando got on the board first at 5:30 of the first period. when Colby McAuley centered a feed to a wide-open Troy Bourke in the slot.  Bourke instantly flexed a shot that clipped past the glove of Angus Redmond for the tally

The Solar Bears extended their lead to 2-0 just seconds after a 5-on-3 power play came to an end.  Orlando’s Chris Leblanc gathered the puck low and delivered a cross crease pass to Alexi Lipanov who stood alone on the backside of the net.  Lipanov one-timed a shot that skipped off the pad of Redmond and banked into the net for the goal.

The Icemen continued to press in the second period and received a great opportunity to get o the board on a breakaway chance from Mamime Fortier.  However, goaltender Connor Ingram was bale to get a piece of the puck to keep his team out in front by two.

Neither team could find the back of the net in the second, and Orlando took the 2-0 lead into the second break.

In the third, Ingram and the Solar Bears combined to keep the Icemen off the board and preserve a 2-0 victory.   Ingram stopped all 30 shots faced, while Angus Redmond takes the loss despite a sound effort allowing two goal on 39 shots faced.
