Icemen Receive Several ECHL Award Honors

JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Jacksonville Icemen, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets and AHL’s Manitoba Moose are pleased to announce that the team has been named the ECHL Group Ticket Sales Department of the Year, while Senior Account Executive Trent Blair has been named the recipient of the inaugural Rookie Sales Executive of the Year Award. The awards were presented and announced at the 2019 ECHL Hockey Summer meetings in Las Vegas on June 20. 

The Icemen set an ECHL record for group sales during the 2018-19 season which helped propel the team to the league honor, while Blair excelled in all areas of sales and servicing during his first season with the Icemen.

The Icemen were also recognized as finalists for three additional award categories.  Executive Vice President Scott Einhorn was named a finalist for the ECHL Executive of the Year Award and Director of Group Sales Luke Nicholas was named a finalist for ECHL Sales Executive of the Year. In addition, the team was also recognized as a finalist for the league’s Digital Content of the Year Award recognizing the team’s success with utilizing social and electronic media."I am very proud of what our organization accomplished both on and off the ice this past season,” said Icemen President Bob Ohrablo. “Our staff works incredibly hard and is certainly deserving of these league honors and we could not have done it without the support of our amazing fans.  We have great things still to come for our team as we head into the upcoming season.” 

The Icemen open the 2019-2020 season at home on October 12 against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits.  Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. to view the complete 2019-20 schedule CLICK HERE
