About Today’s Game: This morning’s ECHL South Division match-up features the Jacksonville Icemen and the Atlanta Gladiators. The Icemen snapped a four-game slide on Saturday with a 4-3 road victory over the Florida Everblades.  Today’s contest opens the first of a three-game slate in as many days.  Atlanta sits in fourth place in the South Division and holds a slim two-point edge over the Icemen.  The Gladiators have dropped back-to-back games heading into to today’s play.   

Series History:  Tonight’s marks the second of 12 meetings between the two teams this season.   Atlanta leads the season series 1-0-0 whole also leading the All-Time series 13-6-3-0. 

About the Icemen:  Forward Chase Lang is coming off a career best three-point performance last Saturday against Florida.  Lang now leads the Icemen in points (8) and goals (5) and has recorded a point in six of his eight games played this season….Forward Bobby Lynch recorded his first professional goal in Saturday’s win at Florida….Both of the Icemen’s wins this season have come in games in which they scored first…. On Wednesday, the Icemen received goaltender Michael McNiven from the NHL’s Montreal Canadiens. 

About the Gladiators:  Nick Bligh now has 14 points (10g, 4a) in his last nine meetings with Jacksonville dating back to last season season.  Bligh registered the first goal of the October 30 meeting between the two clubs….Samuel Asselin ranks second in rookie scoring with 14 points (7g, 7a).
