D’Aoust Returns from AHL Manitoba; Shaw & Beaudoin Recalled

D’Aoust Returns from AHL Manitoba; Shaw & Beaudoin Recalled

JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Jacksonville Icemen, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets and AHL’s Manitoba Moose announced Tuesday that forward Alexis D’Aoust has been reassigned to Jacksonville by Manitoba.  In addition, defensemen Hayden Shaw and Charles-Olivier Beaudoin have been recalled by Manitoba. 

D’Aoust, 22, returns to Jacksonville after recording an assist in four appearances during his recent call-up with Manitoba. D’Aoust has posted five points (3g, 2a) in ten outings with the Icemen this season.  Last season, he finished with 15 points in 11 ECHL appearances with Jacksonville.  D’Aoust (pronounced dah-OO) has 33 career points (17g, 16a) in two AHL seasons split between Manitoba and the Utica Comets. The Trois-Rivieres, Quebec native had a productive career in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) totaling 241 points in 299 games played with the Shawinigan Cataractes from 2012-2017.

Shaw, 23, earns his first career AHL call-up after posting nine points (2g, 7a) in 19 meetings with the Icemen this season.   Shaw logged an assist in nine regular season games with the Icemen last spring while adding another assist in six postseason appearances. The 5-10, 190-pound blueliner totaled 37 points (10g, 27a) in 137 collegiate contests at North Dakota.  Shaw is under an AHL contract with Manitoba this season. 

Beaudoin, 25, will head back to Manitoba after accruing seven points (2g, 5a) in 20 games in Jacksonville this season.  Beaudoin posted seven points (1g, 6a) in 57 games with Manitoba last season.  The 5-10, 180-pound blueliner has 17 points (2g, 15a) in 99 career AHL games.  Beaudoin captained his hometown Drummondville Voltigeurs for two seasons before winning a Quebec Major Junior Hockey League title with the Rimouski Oceanic in 2015.
