For the past two years River Point Behavioral Health has been a proud sponsor of the Jacksonville Icemen. We have partnered up with River Point Behavioral Health to end the stigma of mental health in Jacksonville. Join us on Friday, November 11 for Mental Health Awareness Night presented by River Point Behavioral Health. Join us post-game for the game worn jersey auction in Section 106. A portion of the auction’s proceeds will benefit a proud partner of River Point Behavior Health, NAMI Jacksonville.
Founded in 1987, the Jacksonville affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI Jacksonville), is an organization made up of peers, family, and friends of individuals with a mental illness. They give support and friendship to each other and advocate for a greater number of services at a higher level of quality for those who have mental illness. Members share the knowledge gained through their own experiences – both successes and failures. Similar experiences foster supportive networks to assist those going through a time of crisis or heartache.
River Point Behavioral Health and NAMI Jacksonville while once housed under the same roof, NAMI Jacksonville now has their own space as they continue to grow and provide more and more resources to our community. Our friends at River Point Behavioral Health highly recommend NAMI support groups and programs for anyone in our area who is in need.
The Jacksonville Icemen look forward to welcoming NAMI Jacksonville and other Jacksonville Mental Health organizations to table in the concourse this Friday to provide information to fans regarding resources available to those in Jacksonville.
