About Tonight’s Game: The Icemen play host to the Orlando Solar Bears this evening before venturing off on a three-game road trip this weekend to Greenville and North Charleston, South Carolina.   The Icemen (60 pts) sit in third place in the South Division just one point back of both South Carolina (61 pts) and Florida (61 pts) for the division lead.   Meanwhile the Solar Bears are in sixth place in the division but are within striking distance with 52 points.  In addition, the Solar Bears are 6-3-0-1 in their last ten games. 

Series History:  The Icemen are 4-2-1-0 against Orlando this season.  Meanwhile, the Solar Bears lead the All-Time series 36 wins to 22.     

About the Icemen:  The Icemen received a boost to their defensive corps this evening with the return of Brandon Fortunato who had missed the past several games to injury.  Fortunato has 13 points in 23 games played this season….Christopher Brown leads the Icemen with 16 goals and 41 points….. Earlier today the team added forward Jake Goldowski who has posted nine points in ten games this season with the SPHL’s Macon Mayhem. 

About the Solar Bears: Michael Brodzinski leads the Solar Bears in scoring against Jacksonville this season with seven points (2g, 5a). Brodzinski also ranks third among defenseman with 37 points….Forward Shawn Szydlowski has returned to the Solar Bears lineup in the past week and has recorded five points with three goals in three games played against Jacksonville this season.  The veteran forward has amassed 518 points with 133 goals in 520 career ECHL games played mostly with Fort Wayne.
