JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Jacksonville Icemen, proud ECHL Affiliate of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild and the AHL’s Iowa Wild, announced today that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Jack Babbage for the 2026-27 season.
Babbage, 25, came to the Icemen in the middle of the 2025-26 campaign, suiting up for six games with Jacksonville. The 2026-27 season will be his first full year in the professional ranks.
Before starting his professional career, the 6-1, 192-pound native of Tully, New York played five seasons of NCAA Division I college hockey. Three of those seasons were with the University of New Hampshire while the other two were with Quinnipiac University and St. Lawrence University. Babbage was a member of the Chicago Steel’s 2021 Clark Cup championship team while playing junior hockey in the United States Hockey League (USHL).
