JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Jacksonville Icemen, proud ECHL Affiliate of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild and the AHL’s Iowa Wild, announced today that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Cody Schiavon for the 2026-27 season.
Schiavon, 26, played 17 games last season in his professional debut with the Orlando Solar Bears and the Indy Fuel. The 6’0, 201-pound defenseman garnered two assists, 22 penalty minutes and a -5 rating. A native of West Kelowna, British Columbia, Schiavon played five years of NCAA Division I College hockey with the University of Vermont (2020-2022) and Canisius University (2022-2025). Schiavon also played junior hockey in the BCHL from 2017-2020 with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks, Surrey Eagles, and Trail Smoke Eaters.
