About Today’s Game: Tonight’s ECHL match-up features the Jacksonville Icemen and the North Division’s Brampton Beast.   The Icemen are coming off a commanding 7-3 victory at Atlanta.  The seven-goal output tied a season high set back on November 15, also against Atlanta.  Meanwhile the Beast will attempt to continue their assault on the South Division after knocking off Orlando, Florida and South Carolina earlier this week to improve their unbeaten streak to five games.

Tonight is Autism Awareness Night, and the Icemen will sport specialty jerseys that will be auctioned off following the game to benefit Autism related causes.  There will also be a special announcement made at the start of the first intermission!

Series History:  Tonight’s marks the only meeting between the two teams this season.  Jacksonville leads the All-Time series 2-0-0-0.

About the Icemen:  Forward Pierre-Luc Mercier netted his second career hat trick in Friday’s win at Atlanta.  Mercier has now recorded five goals in the last two games….Jacksonville has posted a season-high 22 shots in a single period in each of the last two games.  On Sunday, the Icemen outshot the Worcester Railers 22-8 in the third period, while outshooting Atlanta 22-4 in the second period, scoring five goals in a span of 5:58.

About the Beast:  Brampton’s Jackson Leef has registered 10 points (5g, 5a) in his last nine games…The Beast are tied for second in the league with eight shorthanded goals, while the Icemen have surrendered the most shorthanded goals this season with nine.
