JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Jacksonville Icemen, proud ECHL Affiliate of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild and the AHL’s Iowa Wild, are proud to announce their 2026-27 leadership group. Forward Bennett MacArthur has been named the 4th captain in Icemen history, with defensemen Jed Pietila and Jaden Condotta, along with forwards Colby Ambrosio and Jocques Bouquot, all named assistant captains.
MacArthur, 25, played 42 games for the Icemen last season and tallied 36 points (13 goals, 23 assists), his best statistical season in the ECHL, before an injury cut his year short. Now entering his fifth season in the ECHL, MacArthur joined the Icemen in 2025 after the Buffalo Sabers, then Jacksonville’s NHL affiliate, acquired his rights from the Pittsburgh Penguins. MacArthur became an unrestricted free agent in 2025 after his 3-year entry-level contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning expired.
A 6-0, 194-pound forward, MacArthur previously played with the Wheeling Nailers and Orlando Solar Bears in the ECHL as well as the Syracuse Crunch in the AHL from 2022-2025. MacArthur currently boasts 126 points in 214 ECHL games, bringing a wealth of experience to the Icemen this season. Before starting his professional career, the Summerside, Prince Edward Island native played Canadian Major-Junior hockey with Acadie-Bathurst Titan in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) from 2020-2022 boasting 129 points (78 goals, 51 assists) in 120 games.
Jed Pietila, 27, returns to the Icemen after posting 13 points (3g, 10a) in 23 games played in Jacksonville in the second half of last season after being acquired from the Toledo Walleye in February. In two seasons with Toledo, Pietila collected 22 points (5g, 14a) and +8 rating. The 5-11, 190-pound defenseman flourished once in Jacksonville and booted the Icemen’s blue line. Before his time in Toledo, the Howell, Michigan, resident played two seasons at Michigan Tech, logging 30 points in 75 collegiate games from 2022-2024.
Condotta, 25, returns for a second season with the Icemen after posting 13 points (2g, 11a) with a team-leading 68 penalty minutes in 65 games played during his rookie season last season. Condotta made his pro debut with the Indy Fuel in the spring of 2025, appearing in two games. Before Indy, the 6-0, 195-pound blueliner finished a productive final season at Toronto Metropolitan University, collecting 23 points (5g, 18a) in 28 games. Condotta also played one collegiate season at Aurora, where he registered 14 points (6g, 8a) in 29 games. At Aurora, he earned a spot on the NCAA Division III (NCHA) All-Conference and All-Freshman teams for the 2022-23 season.
Ambrosio, 23, returns to Jacksonville after recording 21 points (13g, 8a) in 53 games played during his rookie campaign last season with the Icemen and the Toledo Walleye. Ambrosio joined the Icemen in February after being acquired in a trade with Toledo. Toward the end of the 2024-25 season, Ambrosio made a big impression in his pro debut with the Walleye, posting eight points (3g, 5a) in 12 games and 11 points in 18 playoff appearances.
Before turning pro, the 5-9, 180-pound forward played one collegiate season at Miami University (Ohio) and four at Boston College. He totaled 86 points during his college career from 2020-2025. A resident of Welland, Ontario, Ambrosio was selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the fourth round of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
Bouquot, 26, joined the Icemen last season in a multi-player trade on February 23 with the Toledo Walleye. Bouquot played 21 games for Jacksonville in 2026, earning one goal and five assists (six points) to his total. The Columbus, Ohio native finished the 2025-26 campaign with four goals and 14 assists for 18 points.
Entering his fourth professional season, the 6-2, 190-pound Bouquot has played in the ECHL with the Toledo Walleye and the Reading Royals from 2024 to 2026, and one game in the AHL with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. He has 30 points (six goals, 24 assists) in 78 ECHL games played. Before starting his professional career, Bouquot played five years of NCAA Division I College hockey. He spent four of those seasons at the University of Vermont (2019-2023), where he finished as the Catamounts’ captain before transferring to Penn State University for his final season of eligibility. In 143 collegiate games, Bouquot tallied 29 goals and 48 assists for 77 points.
