The Jacksonville Icemen have announced the signing of AHL and ECHL star Emerson Clark.  The experienced left winger from Whitby, Ontario will join the Icemen for their inaugural season on Saturday, October 14th, 2017 at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena against in-State rivals, the Orlando Solar Bears.

“Emerson played for me last season before being called up to the American Hockey League (Chicago Wolves and Utica Comets), explained Icemen Vice President-Hockey Operations/Head Coach Jason Christie.  “He adds experience, playmaking and toughness to our roster.

The 24-year-old Clark has played in 192 ECHL games with 54 goals, 45 assists (99 points) and 746 penalty minutes for Toledo, Greenville and Tulsa.  He has seen 41 games in the American Hockey League (Chicago Wolves and Utica Comets) scoring 4 goals, 7 assists (11 points) and 71 penalty minutes.

The past two seasons, playing 71 games under current Icemen Coach Jason Christie in Tulsa, Clark not only exhibited the physical side, which has never been in doubt, but tallied 53 points (30 goals and 23 assists).

Clark began his junior career in the 2008-09 season playing for hometown Whitby Fury before moving to the Ontario Hockey League with the Oshawa Generals.  He was signed by the ECHL Toledo Walleye and stared his pro career with 150 penalty minutes in 25 games.
