The Jacksonville Icemen, proud affiliate of the NHL Winnipeg Jets and AHL Manitoba Moose, today announced the addition of AHL free agent Kayle Doetzel, and the release of forward Pier-Olivier Grandmaison.  Doetzel, 23, started his third professional season with the AHL's Stockton Heat, playing in one game. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound defenseman spent the majority of last season with the Heat's ECHL affiliate, the Kansas City Mavericks, where he notched 12 points (3G, 9A) and a -4 rating in 48 games. In 67 games with the Heat over the past two seasons, the Saskatoon, Saskatchewan product tallied 4 points (4A) and a +3 rating.

Doetzel joins the Icemen in their first back-to-back games for the season. Jacksonville hosts Atlanta on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and Greenville on Friday at 7:30 p.m.. Friday's game will be followed by the first Florida-Georgia game of the weekend, when the schools' club hockey programs face each other at Veterans Memorial Arena.
