About Today’s Game: Tonight’s ECHL South Division match-up features the Jacksonville Icemen and the Orlando Solar Bears. Tonight is Marvel Super-Hero Night and the Icemen will be wearing Spider-Man jerseys while Orlando will sport Black Panther jerseys in a Super-Hero clash.   A big two points are on the line this evening as both teams are tied in the South Division standings with eight points each.  Two of Orlando’s three wins this season have come again Jacksonville.                                                                                            

Series History:  Tonight’s game marks the third of 11 meetings between the two teams this season.   Orlando leads the season series 2-0-0 whole also leading the All-Time series 19-3-1-0. 

About the Icemen:  Forward Mike Hedden tied an Icemen club record with five points (1g, 4a) in last night’s game with Atlanta.  Hedden ties a mark set last season by former Icemen Wacey Rabbit…The line comprised of Hedden, Maxime Fortier and Garret Ross combined for a total of 11 pts last night in the 7-3 win….With power play goals last night, the Icemen are now fifth on the power play at home at 29.4-percent (5-for-17)….Hayden Shaw leads Jacksonville against the Solar Bears with two points (2a).

About the Solar Bears:  The Icemen will need to be mindful of forward Hunter Fejes, who possesses an excellent blend of speed and skill and currently leads Orlando with six points (3g, 3a)….While the Icemen’s power play has been surging as of late, they will face and Orlando penalty kill unit that ranks first overall in the ECHL at 92-percent…..The Solar Bears are 3-1-1 when leading after two periods….Alexey Lipanov leads the Solar Bears with two goals against Jacksonville this season.
