The Jacksonville Icemen have received defenseman Tim Daly from the Norfolk Admirals in exchange for defenseman Chase Harrison, the club announced today.
Daly (5'11", 190 lbs) has played in 21 games this season for the Norfolk Admirals, scoring once and notching seven assists. In 106 career ECHL games, Daly has recorded 48 points (11G, 37A). He also played in two games this season for Jacksonville's AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose.
Prior to the ECHL, the Maple Ridge, British Columbia native spent four seasons at St. Cloud State University from 2011-15. There, he appeared in 143 games and tallied 22 points (5G, 17A). Daly started his junior career with the Ridge Meadows Flames (PIJHL) before joining the Langley Chiefs (BCHL) in 2009. The 25-year-old scored 31 goals and notched 61 assists in juniors.
Harrison had appeared in 23 games in the Icemen's inaugural season. The defenseman posted three assists and a -2 rating with Jacksonville. The 21-year-old is currently in his first professional season of his career.
The Icemen hit the road to take on the Florida Everblades on Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 7:30 p.m.
