ESTERO, FL – Jacksonville’s Chase Lang scored twice and added an assist to lift the Icemen to a hard fought 4-3 victory over the first place Florida Everblades Saturday night at Hertz Arena.
Jacksonville raced out to a 3-0 lead in the contest, but Florida rallied to score three unanswered tallies in the second period to even the game at three at the second intermission.
The Icemen reclaimed the lead at 1:06 of the third period when Alexis D’Aoust flipped a rebound shot into the past Florida goaltender Cam Johnson. The goal would prove to be the eventual game-winner as the Icemen held off the Everblades attack to secure the 4-3 win.
Goaltender Adam Carlson, who was assigned to the Icemen earlier this week, earned the win in his Icemen debut making 29 saves.
The Icemen return home for three home games next week (listed below) Fans can catch all game broadcasts at www.mixlr.com/jaxicemen or watch the game online at ECHL.TV
