JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Jacksonville Icemen, proud ECHL Affiliate of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild and the AHL’s Iowa Wild, announced today forward Will Hillman has signed an AHL contract with the Iowa Wild ahead for the 2026-27 AHL season. Hillman is the first Icemen to be signed by the Iowa Wild as a part of their new affiliation agreement.
Hillman, 25, collected 13 points (7g, 6a) in 23 games played last season for the Icemen. Hillman also recorded an additional 17 points with the Toledo Walleye to bring his rookie season total to a balanced 30 points (15g, 15a). Hillman was acquired by the Icemen in a trade with Toledo on February 23.
Heading into his second pro season, the 6-2, 203-pound forward brings size and skill to the Iowa forward group. Hillman also appeared in ten postseason games with Toledo in the spring is 2025. The Blaine, Minnesota resident played four collegiate seasons at Minnesota State University – Mankato from 2021-2025.
